about

Fourth of a couple cassette-only releases from Zenflesh. These all came out approximately between ZF3 & ZF4 (96-98?), I think largely as an attempt to inflate our catalog without the cost impact of making a bunch more CDs. Pretty extremely limited, although I don't have an exact recollection of how many were actually made (probably way less than 50) - they were mostly sent to friends and sold at shows (I don't think any review copies ever got sent out.) Never again to show up in any sort of physical edition, but finally re-issued as digital-only twenty years later.

The so-called "Zenflesh Collective" for the purposes of this tape consisted of Messrs Kaiser (Petit Mal), Thompson (Sound Source 21) and LeBlanc (Turk Knifes Pope), gallivanting along the west coast and southwest. If memory serves, there were performances in SF, Oakland, Sacramento, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Phoenix in the summer of 1997, all recorded in toto - this tape spliced together the tastier bits into one juicy slab of nioise.
