about

After the ZF4 & ZF5 mass produced CDs, we scaled back to a series of CD-Rs. These were called the "Zenflesh Library Series", and picked up the catalog letters from where the "Zenflesh Bootleg Series" cassettes left off. - so this was ZFLS-F (or ZFF.) Basically we were trying both to cut back the expense of large runs of CDs, and also just keeping every bit of production within our means.
By my count, this is Jim's actual debut solo release (after the split ZFA, split ZFB, and several compilation tracks.)
By my recollection, all the design concept was from Jim, with my assist in doing the layouts & getting production actually done.

"Very original and maybe not as noisy as Petit Mal's previous appearances, "A distance quietly removed" is a very enjoyable CD, that will come back to your CD player every time you're in the mood for something different from the usual noise scene, something that sounds a semi improvised introvert trip. Charming, soft and weird." --- Recycle Your Ears
